Guided by the leadership of Dr. Boston’s daughter, Dr. Brenda Boston-Hudson, we are committed to identifying and bridging knowledge gaps that can make a significant impact. Our goal is to create pathways for educational success for students who lack financial resources.
Our Mission
Marie Barney Boston Foundation, Inc. is an organization comprised of staff, volunteers, drivers, educators and mentors whose mission is to foster improvements in education, learning and enrichment for disadvantaged youth and the vitality of the leadership development for everyone.
Our Initiatives
Expanding College Access: Through scholarships and donations, we aim to increase the number of disadvantaged students attending college, paving the way for more doctoral candidates and professionals from underserved communities.
Empowering Education and Leadership: We are dedicated to addressing educational gaps among disadvantaged youth, equipping them with formal education and leadership skills critical for their future success.
Promoting Leadership in Communities: By encouraging individuals from underprivileged backgrounds to take on leadership roles, we aspire to make a positive impact on communities, families, and individual lives.
Application Deadline May 31st, 2024
If applicant is awarded a scholarship, he/she must make contact with the foundation (every 3 months) for the calendar year the scholarship is awarded. This contact is necessary to update the foundation regarding his/her grades, status and will allow the foundation the opportunity to assist and/or mentor him/her. If the recipient does NOT comply with the above requirements, then he/she will not be considered for the future scholarship awards.
